Singapore ‘third-best financial centre’
In April 2016, Singapore overtook Hong Kong to become the 3rd best financial centre in the world with giant London and New York in the first top places.
The global index ranked 86 financial centres based on a poll of 2,520 industry professionals. These professionals are of the opinion that Singapore’s advantage and strength as a financial centre include: favourable government’s policy, effective infrastructure, better English-speaking skills and strategic hub for ASEAN.
